Not sure what a Porch Party is? Well, you’re in for a treat. A porch party is a live music festival held on neighbourhood porches!
A pocket of narrow streets just south of Queen Street, the Schneider Creek neighbourhood is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in the City of Kitchener. Bordered by Courtland to the East and the Iron Horse Trail to the West, the neighbourhood is quaint and highly walkable. The neighbourhood features a ton of old city charm – lots to see and do, places to eat, and of course, porches!
The Schneider Creek Porch Party started in 2015 when a group of neighbours got together to celebrate the amazing musical and artistic talent this Region has to offer. Since 2015, it has become a treasured live music festival of local K-W residents.
For 2021, the SCPP features 24 musical acts on 12 neighbourhood porches including the “Headliner Stage” on the oldest porch in the City at Schneider Haus Historic Site on Queen St. S. by Victoria Park.
